So in addition to my knitting, I have now added crocheting.

Anyone here knit on a loom (I think that is what it is called). My daughter is 5 (almost 6) and wants to knit with me. I have tried to help her, but she just can't hold the needles and yarn etc.

I am looking for a pattern (hopefully somewhat easy) for tipless gloves. All of the patterns I am finding are fingerless. I want fingers that go up to around the knuckle.

Pattern says "yo (place marker on this stitch)"
Is that literally place the marker on the stitch and not the needle?

So I found an adult pattern for a shrug that I like. It is a simple pattern and is "one size fits all". Well, one size fits all doesn't work on my 5 year old daughter is is 30 pounds soaking wet.

So after about 18 months of knitting, scarfs, hats, socks and sweaters, I wanted to do a blanket. A friend thought I was crazy for trying to knit one and suggested to try crocheting.

Disney has this new promotion going on where if you volunteer for something you get a free day at the parks.

How do I know if the yarn I have will felt? How exactly do you felt?

I have heard 2 different ways to make a short row with wrap. I think one might actually be wrong (I don't trust the person who told it to me).
So what is the proper way.

So I made one top down raglan sweater and during the process it said to increase a stitch before and after a marker. It didn't say how, and I did knit front and back.
