Good Morning All
Good Evening All,
Lovely snow today in STL. Spent the afternoon finishing the Peacock Hat for my wife that I started last weekend, Just need to block tomorrow night. Have a great week everyone. JRob Blocked and ready to wear.
Morning All, Well after completing 3 projects last week and raking leaves all afternoon, I decided to put a new project on the needles using yarn from my stash last evening. I chose Tanis Gray's "Fair Isle Peacock Hat" which is really a two stranded work using sock yarn. The pattern comes from Carol Sulcoski's book "Sock Yarn Studio".
Finishing up several projects. The socks are now done. Going to be a great weekend to rake leaves. Just in time. Have a fun couple of days guys. Regards, JRob
Last night while watching TV I started the Vertex Cowl with the Stonehenge Crazy I purchased during our trip to Yale to visit our son. It was a free pattern that came with the yarn. It is a simple chevron stitch pattern. It was purchased at a great shop call Knit New Haven. Check it out if you're every in the area. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. JRob
Well Lobsters in the Cathedral is done. It was fun designing and knitting my first sweater not from a pattern. I am really pleased with the fit and the way it turned out. Hope you all have a great weekend and find a little time to knit. Regards to all my knitting brothers on this beautiful autumn day., JRob.
My wife and I just completed a trip from St. Louis to New Haven CT to visit our son who just began a Masters Degree in Flute performance at Yale's School of Music. We drove to take in the fall foliage and were not disappointed. Spectacular!
Yesterday I finished one sock. Started the second. Here is a pic of the sock on the foot. I think I am warming up and liking this method. Need to get the other one done quickly. Tempers are beginning to drop. I'll need to be wearing the pair soon.
Good Morning All,
Well I choose something new for a quick project. I have knitted a lot of socks using double pointed needles and chose to make this pair using the magic loop method. Think I like it. What is your preference when knitting socks?
Regards & Thanks,
Some new pics of yesterday's accomplishments. I think I like the new method.
