I am currently working on the Brooklyn Tweed Koolhaas hat. It involves a lot of 1-stitch cables.
Here is a shot of the finished section of the scarf from that pattern I asked you guys to help me interpret
So I spent most of the afternoon working on that increase and eventual decrease. I really like that section now that I see what it looks like.
So I am celebrating my first week of summer vacation plaing catch up on some of the knitting I have cast aside to write finals, prep students, grade finals, write progress reports, and end the school
I have never actually knitted anything for myself before I finished this hat.
My new obsession in knitting are Celtic knots.
When last I blogged I was starting a wedding shawl (MMario's faux spanish lace pattern) as a gift to a friend on her wedding day.
A very close friend of mine is getting married in late September, and I told her I would like to knit her a shawl as a wedding gift.
So at last writing I was starting a project that let me explore something a little more complicated than simple knitting and purling. I was choosing between a sweater and a sampler scarf.
I think I have a good grasp of knitting and purling now. I have completed hats and scarves using garter stitching and straight stockinette and some scarves using Gansey patterns and borders.
