This was a lot of fun and is actually wearable. The sleeve cap is a bit funky, but ok. Biggest mistake was not using smaller needles for the ribbing. Here's the pic from the original pattern.

I just finished weaving in the ends this evening. (I ordered a kit from Morehouse. It arrived with terrible yarn!

While browsing projects on Ravelry, I came across the most amazing afghan pattern and perfect execution. Isn't it WONDERFUL!!!

Well, I feel like I've really joined the club now - I knitted a shawl!

I finished the knitting early this morning.

Mmmmmm - I think I may have been getting a little smug. Look closely at the "hexagon" on the right side.

I'm probably the last person to know about this trick, but just in case I'm not, learning this was a revelation and made cables just one more stitch instead of a chore for me.

I arrived home in Istanbul safely this morning and haven't even unpacked yet, but want to show you what I've been working on.
