I'm looking for an easy (ie fast) pattern for a baby hooded bath blanket. Any ideas?

Finally my last work shift is over and the boy and I are headed to San Francisco for a much needed rest for 17 days (eh vacation?

I am fine doing combined purl stitches for stockinette stitch but I am not quite sure what to do for ribbing. Can someone point me to the best online demo?

Having recently finished a scarf for the exchange, I have gone back to my abandoned sock. I have ripped it out twice.

I really had a wonderful time making this scarf for my spoilee. I learned a lot (this was the first attempt at doing cables) about myself and about the joy of sharing.

This might be a bit off mark but I am depending on y'all in intelligent urban areas for advice. I live in Florida so you would think I would be comfortable with being 62 right ?

I really enjoy knitting with this yarn. The greatest feature is that is has varied thickness and is much what I would imagine "home spun" yarn to be like.

While searching on-line for the book I mentioned in my last blog, I decided on a lark to search the catalogue of my public library for the out-of-print "Principles of Knitting" by June Haitt.

I saw a book several months ago in Michael's about knitting and fitting top down garments. I , being short sighted and oh ya cheap, did not buy it.

Wow, thanks to the generosity of one of my best friends, my partner and I will be spending 2 whole weeks in San Francisco starting around August 23rd.
