This is a question I've had for a while, how man of you learn a certain technique just because you think you should know it?

I made through my pattern problems and finally finished the Tiger Eye Lace Scarf. It's in Malabrigo sock with size 5 needles. It went amazingly fast but blocked a lot longer then it was supposed to.

I have a pattern for what's called "Tiger Eye Lace Scarf" - the pattern is only in chart form and on the chart there are these grayed squares and the key says that the grayed squares are "no stitch".
