I finally finished by grandson's blanket....before he reached puberty!

It's hard to believe I've already been knitting for 6 months and I still love it.

Can you guess which is sock #1 and which is sock #2? Sorry I have not posted them sooner. Work and school have been eating into my playtime.

Here's a shot of my first sock. It ain't pretty, but it's comfy. I hope to do a better job on the mate to this one. I somehow goofed up the kitchener stitch at the toe and got things inside-out.

Yep, this newbie knitter neophyte is knitting his first sock. Just using a Red Heart sport weight here.

Just finished my first hat....in time for spring.

One last photo just to illustrate how fearless our Quaker...or our cat can be. I apologize for taking up space with non-knitting stuff.

Since I've had a few questions about my Bird, I thought I would introduce her. She is an 11 year old Quaker Parrot. Her name is Queen Esmeralda, but her nickname is Izzy.

I was beginning to wonder if I was ever going to get something completed. The garter stitch scarf is still in progress. I use it at work when there is a likely chance I'll be interrupted.

This week I started to learn about increasing and decreasing using YO and K2Tog. The YO was pretty straightforward, but the K2Tog was swift to punish me for knitting too tightly.
