Hey guys!!! Been awhile since I posted. Yeah I've been busy. Just thought I would invite you all to visit my website at www.sleepyroot.com to see pictures of my latest projects I've got working. There is a scarf, a backpack, and a "secret project". I hope everyone is having a wonderful time with your knitting projects.
Hey guys!! How are you all? I haven't posted anything here in a long time. Guess I've been really busy. I hope everyone is having a happy holiday season and looking forward to a wonderful christmas this year.
I've been really busy knitting up a bunch of skinny scarfs, caps and bags and my latest venture is trying to start up a men's knitting group in my hometown. I've posted an ad about it on craigslist, but I'm not sure if anyone around where I live will take interest. We'll see.
My latest project happens to be a crocheted project. I am trying to make myself a knitting bag since I can't seem to find anything around town or online that I like. It seems like all of the knitting bags that are available are made for women (boo!). So I've dug out my camouflage yarn and am attempting to make something that a guy like me won't be embarrassed to tote around.
Anyway that's what I'm up do for now. I'll check back in later... oh by the way guys I love to read all of your posts on here... especially when I'm out and about I can surf to this site on my cellphone and read up on what you guys are doing. I love it. Keep writing and knitting and showing what your making. It
Hey guys I just started a new mobile chat group on upoc.com that is strictly for male knitters only. I thought this would be something fun for those of you who enjoy text messaging on your cellphones. It is a private group. You will have to send request to join and wait for my approval. I did this to keep the group safe and fun.
Here's the address for the group if your interested: http://upoc.com/group.jsp?group=maleknitters
For those of you not familiar with upoc.com and mobile chat communities you can go here ---> http://www.upoc.com/help.jsp#moreInfo to find out what upoc is all about and how to use it.
Back in November 2005 I posted that I was working on getting my website online. Well seven months later it is finally here. Check out www.sleepyroot.com :-)
I just had to show this off because I've been wanting to learn how to do this stitch for awhile now. Well tonight I finally made myself sit down and figure it out. This is the briotch stitch. I call it the bitch stitch because that's just what it was to learn... a bitch! lol..... I think the hardest thing for me to figure out was how to do the yarn over but once I figured that out I was knitting this stitch almost as fast as I can knit a 2x2 rib.
I have never had a pretty christmas tree in my own home, so this year I decided I would try to change that. Here is a knitted bow ornament I just finished making. It was really simple. Just cast on 5 stitches and work stockinette stitch, or if your lazy you can do it in garter stitch. Keep knitting until it's the length you want and then just simply tie it in a bow and hang it on your tree. This one was done with some Red Heart Christmas yarn.
A few days ago I mention that my buddy and I are working on our website. Well we are still working on it, but if you would like to get a preview of it at it's TEMPORARY ADDRESS... you can go here: http://coolguysknit.100webcustomers.com/ . Also check out my other blog at http://david34.blogspot.com/ to see my ugly christmas tree that I'm trying to make pretty, and see a new cap I just finished.
My buddy who is also my roommate and I are building our website. The name of it isn't official yet but we're thinking we might call it Cool Guy's Knit. Anyway this website is going to serve as our storefront for selling the hats, scarfs and jewelry that we make. It's also going to have photo galleries of places we have both traveled to, a tatoo photo gallery, pages relating to trance music, some affiliate stuff and lot's of other cool things. We are hoping to launch the site officially by January 2006 but it could be later.
I'll post the address to the site later on after I've had a chance to get more work done on it :-)
