I hadn't knitted for months and months. I think I was over exposed to yarn for my own good. The coming birth of my GRAND niece prompted me to come back.
Had to share a picture of the latest edition to our family. Nine week old Shih Tzu puppy named Henri Bourassa (anyone who knows Montreal metro will know how I chose the name). He is too much.
Here's the beginnings of my exchange scarf.
I had been so proud of myself, working on my first EZ seamless sweater (for me) and understanding it all. I had a devil of a time at first getting the gauge.
I am just beginning the Baby Surprise Jacket and have a dumb question. I am at the 5th ridge and need to increase for sleeve.
So I am finally taking the step to a simple fair isle project and want to go to WEBS this weekend for the yarn.
I thought I posted this the other day but don't know where I sent this in cyber space! These were fun and were Christmas gifts to my better half a few days AFTER the big day. Doubled up Manos using Fiber Trends pattern. My first real "heel" experience (did a pair of spiral socks for a Christmas gift). So, I had so much fun I began my first sock day after Christmas. I am enjoying using #2 dp needles but my hands are kinda big. (Know what they say about BIG hands--big gloves!)It takes practice I guess. So thanks to all you sock lovers for your inspiration.
Happy New Year,
Matthew
Here are two scarves finished for Christmas gifts. I'm disappointed with the picture of the cable scarf. It is Malabrigo and such wonderful colors which worked so well with the cables. Red one is a soft wool from China. Red scarf took a long weekend start-to-finish--cable took what seemed an eternity. Happy holidays!

Getting holiday projects ready, a friend of mine wants a cap like Muslim men wear. It's not really just a short ski cap-- and wonder if anyone has come across such a pattern. Please let me know.
