These were completed last week. I wanted to make a pair of socks for my mother, I had the yarn sitting here for a long time, asking to be knit into socks, but I needed to find the right pattern.

There is a FREE exhibit of Estonian Knitted Lace (mainly shawls) coming to
the Lacis Museum of Lace and Textiles in Berkeley. It will run from September 14th thru February 4th. Great Photo tour at

What happened to all our messages? There is nothing in my Inbox, nothing in my Sent folder.... What is going on? Why were they all deleted? I didn't even read some of them. Who did this??!?!?

I just need to show you this latest spinning. I'm quite excited about these colours.

For the past couple months, I've been spinning some Blue Faced Leceister (http://www.bflsheep.com/images/breed.htm).

So as I said, I really enjoyed spinning this alpaca, and was very disappointed when it came to an end. I went into a slight depression -- nothing really seemed to measure up!

I just spotted this offer and it's a great deal! I have this book (and her second book too) and they are well worth having, if you do any lace.
