To all my dear friends and fellow MWKers -
May you all have many Blessings through this Holiday Season and the coming New Year. Whether you celebrate the Solstice [like me], Christmas, Hanukkah [which was early this year], Kwanzaa, New Year, Lunar New Year or whichever and whatever your heart desires - or even not at all - I wish you Peace and Happiness in the time ahead.
I'm starting my first double-knit lace project. The pattern is by a young New York City lad by the ravetar of Aptenoknits. It's available free on Ravelry until March. I'd never considered lace before, having gotten trapped in a double-knitting energy vortex years ago in my reckless knitting youth. Trapped in the vortex as I am, lace always seemed inaccessible and remote.
Amazing what people will knit.
Here's an article I ran across that some of you might find interesting. Apparently lots of grammar school children of a certain age are almost knitting. According to this article it's the biggest kids' fad of the year. I wonder how these kids would react to a teacher who could actually knit these things. For your consideration:
Greetings: just thought you might like to see what I did for a friend for Christmas. I finally got past the knit 1, purl 1 stage. May you all have a wonderful holiday and good knitting in the New Year. Joe and Quinton - I am actually traveling back to your area in June and hope we can get together for some coffee and knitting. John
This afghan was made to give to a friend as a birthday gift. One of my favorite afghans I have made.
