MWK has finally been upgraded to Drupal 5.1! Hooray!
Please check things out and send me a message with any comments, questions, complaints, bug reports, or anything else you'd like to say.
I also verified that uploading images via the little icon under the text entry areas works! It also creates thumbails, preview images, and stores the original image properly. Yay!
Thanks for continuing to build and participate in one of the Internet's most meaningful community of knitters. I'm so happy we're all here!
More to come, but I wanted to get the site up as soon as I verified all the basic functionality is present. I'm still moving images over, but you should be able to read and write blog posts, forum topics, and what not just fine.
p.s. be sure to check out the new advanced search!
I'm going to be taking the site down for a few hours, beginning at 3PM PST. Things shouldn't be down for long, but please send me some good energy in the meantime!
Thanks for your patience!
I'm about to buy my first circular needles, and perusing the shop nearby, I was a bit intimidated by the sheer number of different LENGTHS on top of the different sizes! I approached the lady that runs/owns the shop and she recommended Addi over other brands, but suggested that if I haven't bought any circulars yet, I should really consider buying this Interchangeable Knitting Needle Kit. I thought it was an Addi thing, but in my web searching, I found the exact kit, and it says it's Denise (never heard of it).
Anyway, I was just curious if anyone else has tried this interchangeable circular needle kit. If so, is it sufficient, or should I just get the Addi needles? Any other recommendations/suggestions???

You sent me a private message asking about the Monday Night Knit...
but it said "Sender does not accept replies"...and you don't accept emails...(I'm not sure how you expected me to respond,,,)
We meet Monday nights from 7-9pm ( although many of us get there about 6:30)
at the Three Dollar Bill Cafe...Octavia & Market Sts...in the GLBT Center.
This is a work-in-progress...but may be wonderful when it gets going...
just wondered if there were any other Brits out there coz the US knitting scene is huge compared to ours
Just finished a tam with some Shetland wool that was left over from other projects. Very portable and quick. Almost instant gratification.
Here's how to fix it:
1. Browser to news.google.com or any other non-menwhoknit.com page.
2. Clear your browser's cache.
3. Delete your browser's cookies.
4. Restart your browser.
5. Navigate to http://www.menwhoknit.com
Please let me know if any of your are experiencing difficulties logging in after completing the steps above and I'll do my best to get you swingin' again!
