Somewhere, in the last week, I read an article, with great pictures, of
how someone dropped stitches and re-knitted row by row using coloured pins
for each row.
Does that sound familiar to anyone?
Can't find the article.
My niece has asked me to do her a sweater, and I have tons of Bolivian alpaca in my stash. The yarn was supposed to be for a different project, but my friend in La Paz got the wrong weight. Now I am left with 900g of 2-3 fingering/sport weight yarn. Pattern calls for a US 8 needle and a gauge of 17 sts & 22 rows = 4" x 4". My gauge swatch worked up to 3" x 3" with 2 yarns stranded.

My wife saw this hat on a. craft table and I'm trying to make her one, but I'm not sure how to do this edge. It's not exactly scalloped but not straight and even either. Any advice? Thanks.
My first (and probably last for a good while) lacework project. Will be Christmas gift for partner's mother.

I just finished knitting a Beret for a friend of mine, the first for me. Anyway, I used two 16" circulars, a size 1 & 2. Well, before I finished I was needing to switch to a set of dpn's and I hated it so tried two 24" circular's. When I got down to a smaller number of stitches, I then had to use the dpn's.
Have dusted off the needles after a prolonged hiatus and have just finished a cardi by Josh Bennett from Rowan website. Left out intarsia-seemed a bit youngish for me.
a calendar of Pin Up men wearing knitted garments with patterns available.
The first one is a "tank top".
"Men In Knitwear Calendar Club is a brand new concept from Stitch Seekers.
A calendar of, well... men in knitwear, but wait, there's more!
I am knitting in the round a mohawk beanie for my friend, who's going
through chemo, with her favorite football team's logo (GBPackers) on both
I am fairly good at intarsia on a flat (back and forth) piece. But as this is a beanie for her soon to be bald head, I must put it together in the round.
I am looking for suggestions or a pattern to knit myself a sweater. As the subject suggests, the sweater needs to be sized 4XLT. I have searched Ravelry and other sites but I come up with nada. I am not skilled enough to take a pattern and rewrite it to adjust for size. I'd love a hoodie. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can't be the first to have this problem, can I?
