Thanks men for the support and caring I appreciate it! I kinda felt this website was this supportive. I have taken a picture of one of the shawls that I mentioned in the blog. I made this one first for my mother. After dad passed away this August I found the shaw I was so excited I almost lost it that mom kept it all these years. I made it about 1974 or 5.

Well, I've completed Ron's socks! I named them Dark and Stormy for two reasons. One, because of the blue and gray colors, and two, because I am a fan of the Dark and Stormy drink (Gosling's Black Seal Rum, ginger beer and lime).

Well I am actually blogging about something I totally love. I don't know how well this will go over, so be patient with me.
As I have grown older in years (but not in spirit) I tend to go back to "better times" One of these times was knitting.
It was a "hobby" that I took up when I was quite young. Mostly to fill those lonely times at home.

Shamelessly copied from my 'other' blog, so that I can go finish my movie and make some patches for the manshawl I recently mentioned... the lovely folks at the nursing home got it caught in the bed mechanisms and ripped some nasty holes in it. (At least I know it's greatly appreciated by the one who counts!)

Has anyone taken the Craft Yarn Council's instructors certification test? I am just wondering because I have to take the test. Michael's has approached me about teaching Knitting for them and I am just wondering if anyone else has taken the class.

Hi guys! I came across this video last night and I'm pretty intrigued. Jeny (who came up with Jeny's Suprisingly Stretchy Bind Off) has made a cowl that when double and buttoned goes from being a straight tube to a moebius. And depending on how it is buttoned more twist is added, making it more snug and therefore warmer to wear.

The new sweater I am making that I bought form Staci at VeryPink.com. It feels like butter; so soft and firm enough to hold up the collar with only a small additive. I have just gotten to the part where the sleeves have been slipped off and the torso of the sweater. Now the increasing is finished and I will make it as long as I like, about 27" I think. Then the arms and last the zipper.
