Here's my sweater, finally done. I couldn't find the rhinestones. Actually finding buttons I liked was like looking for a needle in a haystack. I'm pleased with the ones my partner found, and they were cheap enough that I wouldn't cry if I found what I was searching for later on; buttons can always be redone, I figure.
Good evening to all Men Who Knit. Well, it's evening over here right now. I just joined and looking forward to participating in this group.
A little about me...

Guys, I have been on a roll cleaning up my stash of yarns. Given the sub-zero temps lately, all of us are trying to stay warm. I have knitted some cowls for friends AND have managed to make a huge dent in my stash of yarn. Color me happy. Recipients have been friends, family, shut-ins, old, young, and all sizes.
Happy knitting and hope all is well with you!
Louis

Good Afternoon All,

I have never ever attempted to do a knitted afghan before. The pattern was from an old Leisure Art leaflet from...get this....1974!!!!!!! It's called the Classic Ripple Afghan. I have knitted Leisure Art models for the last five years (mostly small projects like socks, scarves, etc.) and was asked to crochet an afghan using Red Heart Soft yarn.

The class went very well today. Had about 7 people of course all women. But I seemed to fit in well. And I did some new thins like long casting on. I found out today that i was doing knitted casting(never knew it had a name, mom taught me)
I will have pics of my project on latter. Right now its a wonderful red yarn blend of alpaca, silk and nylon.
I live in Waterloo New York, and I have about twelve inches of snow give to me by winter storm Nemo. (I like him in the movie, ain't too fond of him now!) I have to wait for someone to come and shovel me out, for I have spinal issues, and I'm a heart patient. There will be no shoveling for me.

I was watching the news tonight and they said that from Long Island to Boston they’re just getting their ass kicked with this winter blizzard tonight.

Men
Saturday I will be taking my first basic sock class. I have a hunch that I might be the only male there. I am not worried. I spoke with the teacher and she is very supportive. It will be a small class of perhaps 8. It is being held at the yarn shop I do most of my shopping at.
