It all started last October during the World Series between the Cardinals and the Rangers. Ralf and I were in San Maguel, Mexico and made sure we were back at the condo every day by game time. It was huge fun listening to the announcers in Spanish and watchnng our team win - we're both native Saint Louisans so you can guess which team that was. Suddenly I was hooked.

Okay so I recently picked up my crochet hook again and started playing around with stuff, and this time it finally stuck. It's like something clicked in my head and I really began to understand how it all goes together, and how the different stitches work etc. So I decided to crochet something "big", but relatively simple.

The Joann near me in Columbus, OH is having a 50% off clearance prices sale right now.
I got wools, sock, and bamboo yarn and rosewood needles for really cheap (see pic).
I spent $43.00 on nearly $150.00 worth of stuff.
I think all Joanns might be doing it to refresh their stock. Check your local one out.

So, after a particularly bad experience with someone, I discovered that besides leaving me emotionally depleted and having my trust in people damaged, I have lost whatever it is that fuels my desire to knit. It's been 2 months and I just can't bring myself to pick up my needles at all and work on anything.
