Just cast on yesterday. My first sweater!! Finished. 2/2 3 inch ribbing.
Now onto 17 inches of stockinet 11 inches already compete.

Well well well... a bunch of boys who knit. We have always been around. Just takes the internet to bring us together.

Hi, I'm Gnosis. I live in Nampa Idaho (for now). How I got here I'm not quite sure. Hoping to move to the banks of the Snake River soon. I've liked knitting all my life but never had much time to devote to it until now.

Just saw a news release that Ray Bradbury has died at 91. Great writer and I've found great inspiration and entertainment from his science fiction and other writings. It is rough that we have lost several great writers over the past year. However - Lifa [and Knitting] goes on.

Thank you to all who replied here and so many via email! It really helps to hear from all of you guys. My son and I are the only two in the family who live here in IL, so it's great to have this site as an extended family.

I hand dyed the wool to knit this headband

Please keep my wife in your prayers. She joins me in the world of replacing body parts. She undergoes double-knee replacement surgery on Monday, June 4. She supported me during my hip replacement back in November, now it's my turn to be the caregiver. She'll be in hospital and rehab for about 3 weeks. If you are in the Chicago area drop me a line, I would love the company and the diversion.

I've been knitting daily since I learned and have really enjoyed every minute of it (ok, I know I make a lot of negative noise about new stitches or so but. . ) up until the lace sweater.

Thanks to Johnny on New Stitch a Day, this old dog learned a new trick. I followed his tutorial on the Whelk Stitch and knitted a prayer shawl of which I am quite proud. It has a nice drape and is very cuddly. Now...time for a celebratory martini...or two.
