what are so few knitting books ebooks? anyone know?

I took a class last week with one of the local yarn groups (The Yarn Mavens). We took over a the Bead and Yarn Studio in Bakersfield, CA (who'd a thunk!). There were about a dozen ladies, me and a lot of chatter. Here's what I ended up with at the end of the day.

So yesterday instead of lunch I went to visit a LYS close to work. I have to take another day to visit a different one that is also in my area. I got a give it to them. It's a great little place but its filled with lots of goodies. I was like a kid in a candy store. I had a budget of what I could spend yesterday but I'm counting my pennies for payday to see what goodies I can get.

Hi Everyone, I am new to the site and love reading the posts so I decided to post my first one. just finished a toy turtle as my last project. It was a far cry from sweaters, cowls and socks that I usually do. A friend of mine asked me to knit it for her daughters birthday and I agreed. I was glad when I completed it even though I avoided working on it as much as I could.

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy Spring. I haven't been on the site for a while, but can't wait to get back through the forums to see what all I've missed... besides all of you.
Best to all, hope all are full of hope and health!

Just wanted to share progress on some socks that I am working on. After a couple tear downs and changing my patter and recalculating stiches needed. Here is what I've done so far. Haven't work on them as much as other projects it's taking a little longer since I'm ussing a smaller needle thank I've ever used but all in all I'm loving them .

Hi to all, my first post. I usually just add comments to other posts. This is a photo of some socks I knit using Knit Picks Coney Island yarn. They were knit toe-up, and two at a time using the "magic loop" technique.

Hello all. Well I have finished my first hat. Bit of a drama all 'round. Started by using 3.5 mm circular needle and a pattern for a completely ribbed hat, but then the needle broke! That'll teach me to buy cheap plastic needles. Luckily it broke at the point where I could pretend it was meant to just be the ribbing edge so I then changed to 4mm needles and used another pattern.

Can anyone help me? I finished an Icelandic sweater (see photo attached) but don't like the circular collar. There is no shaping of the neck. I think a boat neck would suit. However, I have never knitted a garment with one and I can't figure out the only pattern instructions I can find.
