Happy New Year's Eve Guys,
I have a question that maybe someone can help me with. I'm knitting a market bag in the round with 24" circulars. Starts off with a stockinette stitch base for support and the body is a simple (K2tog, YO) lace pattern. Everything looks great except for where the round joins between the last and first stitch. It looks like a very loose join, and ladder like instead of twisted.
I need some help with this one. I started a project that said to slip the first and last stitch on each RS and to purl the first and last stitch on each WS. I slip the first stirch on the RS then follow that directions correctly for the row but come to the end stictch witch is to be slipped and I end up with a loop or unknitted stitch.
After all the yarn breaks and frays that I moan about in an earlier posting, I finally finished my son's Christmas sweater. He chose the color and the plain stitching. It's only 4 days late, so not too bad. The challenge was making sure that the 20+ breaks/frays and ends of skeins were all woven in so they can't be seen. I am happy with the results. This is my first long-sleeved garment.
I'm beginning to think I don't belong on this site with all the designers, spinners, and guy who have access to great yarns. I work with yarn from Wal-Mart and Jo-Annes. Free patterns from the internet are my muse. I have no one to knit for, and no one to knit with. you all are so lucky.
Well my Noro Sweater is complete just need to weave in the tails. Here are pictures of the front and back.
Happy Knitting All,
Good Evening Guys,
Well the Noro Sweater I've made for myself is all seamed together and I only have to sew in the zipper tomorrow so I should be getting a photo of the finished product on the blog tomorrow. I am really please with the way it turned out.
Hello every one. I hope you guys had a great Christmas. I did spending most of my time with my family and a little time for friends and my partner. Had a great time but now back at work till tomorrow. It's hard to work these last two week of the year ever day seems to drag. I work a total of three days this week and two days next week.
My wife and son are so giving. I am so spoiled. For Christmas, they gifted me with a beautiful set of Addi click circular needles. They also bought me some additional cords, connectors, a couple intermediate-sized needles, and a cool collection of 101 Stitches on individual cards with pics and pattern, similar to a calendar.
All I have to do is whip in a zip, zip, zip and my new/retro jacket/cardigan is complete. I'm hoping to find someone more skilled than I in hand-sewing to put it in for me-- I've never done a zipper. But I might just give it a shot if I can't find someone or the price isn't right.
