A good friend left me her Vogue Knitting books. The oldest dates back to 1947. Just look at this

There is the Vogue Knitting LIVE show in NYC from 17 - 20 January 2013 are any men attending??
ive been having sleep issues so i talked to medical at work and they suggested i take up a calming hobby to help mellow me out. (i guess ive been wound a little to tight since my deployment) but any who yea calming hobby it was suggested that i try knitting which made me laugh because i had already been looking in to taking up knitting as a hobby.

Had a most frustrating evening last night. I finally made it to the toe of the sock I've been struggling to finish, trying it on to check the fit.
Then, taking it off, the cast on edge snapped.
Not figuring out any way to repair it, I frogged almost 2 1/2 months of intermittent knitting; washed the resulting skein, and plan to rewind it so as to start all over again.

I've been working on a project all day today. What helps sick with an awful head cold. I think I did 5 rows at frog a row

Always on the lookout for interesting fibers I stopped in a yarn store near work on the way home and was looking for something different. Here is my find - Classic Elite Yarns Verde Collection Woodland 65% wool and 35% nettle.

I am knitting Spiraling Square Socks by Jenny Blackburn (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/spiralling-square-socks) and am a bit stumped on the heel set up. The directions say:
"Heel Setup:
K7, turn your work so that the wrong side is facing, P34
(Note: Knitting 7 before turning and purling 34 lines it up for the top of foot pattern later.)
Heel:
Spiralling Square Socks

I have been lurking around this site for a while now. Have just started my first sweater and decided it was time to post. Past knitting has consisted of socks, hats, cowls and scarfs. All projects that are relatively quick to knit up.

My apologies for how we were portrayed. Here is the response that I am sending to him:
Dear Dr. Oz,

Sorry to double dip like this but I'm so excited - my new canvas hat form arrived! Just in time to show off the Neoclassic from Slouchy Beanies.
