Came across this three day conference in Santa Clara, CA feb 23-26. Anyone know anything about it? Anyone going?

Hi guys,
After tinking my last scarf...i got the idea to work with different color combination. Since my project has been with one color. So I took on the challenge and with a suggestion from a fellow MWK member, Mark, I set out on an attempt to learn Intarsia. I made a small swatch but I think I have raised my skill level a half notch or so... :-)

I've knitted a few items that have turned out pretty good but I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't mastered the basic beanie. Since my formal instruction consisted of "measure head, cast on, knit, decrease at the crown" I think I may have missed a trick or two. I've searched through patterns too, but still wasn't trusting them to give me what I want.

Hello to all and a happy new year!

I just wanted to say a quick "hello" to everyone out there. I ran into this site a few weeks ago and enjoyed reading everyone's posts so much that I just HAD to join. I've been knitting on and off since I was about 7 years old and crocheting on and off since I was about 17 (more 'off' than 'on' so I'm still a novice at both arts lol).

hi all.
im thinking of knitting a scarf in a reversable checker pattern using alternating boxes of St st and rev St st. does anyone know if a piece like this would lie flat, or curl up? thanks :)

Happy New Year everybody !!
Is somebody can help me to find a classical pattern to knit socks with 4 needles - 2,5mm.
I don't find what i need on Internet.
Thanks... and don't forget to knit each day !!

Hello everyone! I am Enemerio, my friends call me Emmy. I am so excited to have found this site of men who share similar interests and hobbies, please say hello, and happy knitting! I am looking forward to make many new friends. I live in Fresno, Ca. I love hanging out @ Barnes & Nobles in River Park Shopping area.

I would like to begin making socks using circular needles. I know that DPN patterns can be adapted, but does anyone know of any patterns out there written specifically for circular needles that a novice might be able to understand? I appreciate it.
Mark

One evening last summer as the fog got sucked in, thick and cold, through the Golden Gate and the foghorns bellowed low and stubbornly into the oncoming mist like giant, 3-story cows in the distance, I picked up some jute gardening twine from deep in my stash and started double-knitting this rug.
