Anyone else think that knitting women's apparel is more fun? lol. These past couple of days I've been looking through some of Vogue knitting's past issues and have been trying to think of all of my girl friends that I could gift garments to, haha.

I've made this sweater out of the Jane Ellison Menswear - Ansley (photo attached, not mine - but from the pattern). I used Queensland Kathmandu Aran yarn. Well it knitted up fairly well. My issue is that it fits everywhere EXCEPT the arm holes. It is rather tight for the recipient where the arms are attached too the body. I've tried to sew it with some give and it still is too tight.

Well I wanted to knit myself a scarf because every time I knit myself a scarf it ends up being gifted to someone, which I totally don't mind. For instance, last year during the Christmas round robin a friend was just in love with my scarf, so by the end of the evening it was his. So I had 15+ skeins of Cascade Tweed sitting in one of my bins.

I do believe this project is progressing nicely. I hope to have it done by Christmas. Need it for a present. And thanks Jim for kick starting the hood part for me.

Well, to be honest, I wanted a Christmas tree cookie cutter, but no luck. So ended up with a star, a snowflake, and a moose. Yeah, you read that right, a moose. Everyone loves a good moose. Oh wait... that's supposed to be everyone loves a good goose. As long as it doesn't come from the dog when your in compromising positions that is.

This is a pair of mitts for a good old Canadian winter lol

Okay so i am making a hooded scarf for my "old lady" for Christmas, but I have ran into a pattern snag.
I need help reading this pattern so that I know what to do next. The scarf is easy, the hood I am having a problem with. I will type out the instructions and maybe someone can tell me what I am not getting here.
