Teach Yourself VISUALLY Sock Knitting by Laura Chau

Hi, Has anyone here read the book "Teach Yourself VISUALLY Sock Knitting" by Laura Chau ? Kelley Petkun from Knitpicks reviewed this book on Youtube and seems to think that it is a great book!!

Straight vs Circle

I am finding that I just do not enjoy knitting with straight needles unless they are wood. Does anyone else have this problem?

Latest Project

Off the needles. I made a washcloth for a friend who is in to Peanuts cartoons. Found this Woodstock washcloth pattern and did it up in about 3 days (about an hour a day knitting).

Chemo cap

Finally got the picture off the camera to post.

The chemo cap is for one of the women in my company's Montreal, Quebec office.

New Videos

So I have been playing around with the camera and website production in between knitting, finishing taxes and whatever else I can figure out to do to keep myself busy.

Sister's Sweater

I made this sweater for my sister. I used Jamieson and Smith 2 ply Jumper Weight and 3.25 mm needles. The colour is Thistle and is much prettier than the pictures show.

Socks... Finally!

I finally finished my son's socks. They are orange slipper socks with a short row heel. I debated about the heel for a long time, that is why it took so long to complete.

Spinning your own yarn, Is it really practical?

So, I find spinning rather interesting. However, I started wondering if was really practical. Can you get the a really good quality of yarn? Is it cost effective? Is it too time consuming.
