This is my first pair of socks done two at a time on a pair of circs. I seem to be spending a lot of time untangling yarn and adjusting needles.

This Friday my partner Ralf and I are headed to Iowa City to get married. The ceremony is at 2:00 in Saturday.

Yesterday a new way to block hats occurred to me, and since it worked I thought I'd share it with you. (A new way to me, that is - others may have had the same idea, of course!)
Someone requested Selbu mitten patterns a while ago. I just came across two sources:

Hey everyone-

Hey Boys: So, I'm starting a sweater and I knitted a swatch to check my gauge. The pattern calls for 17 sts and 24 rows = 4".

Okay, so I've been doing this for at least a couple years - knitting sweaters in the round and then grafting the sleeves (also worked in the round) to the body as part of the finishing.

Completed in 13 days (August 16-29, 2009) - using a basic top-down raglan knitting pattern and adding a technique of alternating 2 yarns every 2 rows, I created this sweater using 12 different skeins
