Browsing through Friday's local paper I came across an ad for "12th Annual Michigan International Alpaca Fest". It's open 9/20-21 at the Birch Run Expo Center and it's "FREE!!

What a great experience it has been to make my own socks. I had to modified the original pattern a bit, just because it is a bigger pattern.

Holiday knitting break and research

I'm off to Rome for a holiday tomorrow morning. Things have been so manic getting finished at the office that I haven't picked up the sweater I'm working on all week, and won't be taking it with me to Italy. I have, however, done my homework and will be visiting two of Rome's yarn stores and will report back with what I find.
