While being on the road was treacherous today... this is excellent weather to sit inside and knit!

I whipped up this beanie on the fly just trying out some stitch patterns to create the effect I wanted to make my mother a hat for Christmas.

Despite having ruined the surprise of the squirrel, I have managed to keep the COMPLETELY finished product hidden. Here it is for all your eyes only.

I am now ready for the big moment- cannot afford to make a misteek.

I've just received a wooly board that I ordered from Camilla Valley Farm. It arrives with assembly required and at the time I opened the package I was too sleep deprived to handle it.

Well It's been over a month since I last posted and I've been up to a lot. Christmas knitting has consumed my life and I'll be lucky if I get it all done.

I have a huge stash of yarn, more projects and stuff than I will do in years, yet I cant seem to stop myself from getting more. One of my LYSs is closing and having their final sale.

Lion Brand has a new podcast out today specifcally about men who knit and crochet. It includes interviews with a non-profit "Krochet Kids" group as well as a filmmaker for "Real Men Knit".

I hate it when, nearing the end of a project, I run out of yarn. Twelve rows to go, and I have to go buy a whole new ball of yarn. Oh, well, I guess that's how stashes are born.

I know this is off the topic...I have thinking about learning how to tatter.......I would like to know is there any other guys out there who tatter and would u give me your thoughts on tatting and whe
