This weekend I went on a retreat at Saint Gregory's monastery in Three Rivers MI... I actually knitted in public at the guesthouse.
We have actually gotten a bit more snow than normal this year. I woke up to a bit of a white world for three weekends in a row again this morning.
Does anyone have the pattern for the Warm Thoughts Throw? I used to have the pattern. Problem is I'm only half way done with the blanket. Google doesn't help. Nor does Ravelry.
No Knitting to share this time, just photos of what NW burbs of Chicago
look like with 13" of snow in two days and there is more falling. Why do we
live in this climate!?
Now where did I put that ticket to the tropics?
Just wondering if anyone is a member. Is it worthwhile to join?
I had fun knitting this top down raglan. No charts or pre-planning...just "composed" as I knit. The yarn is KnitPicks "Chroma" that I bought last year during their half price blow-out sale. The raglan yoke and body took three days to knit, each sleeve took one day....five days of fun!
Wishing Everyone a Happy New Year! More Love, Light, Peace, Joy than in any other year before!
I was giving this yarn by a dear friend of mine on this site, Lou Chicquette. It is a beautiful, supple blend of 42% wool, 35% acrylic, and 23% Viscose. The yarn is by Berroco and is buttery soft that makes it a very pleasant yarn to knit.
Hey all! Got a late start but back int the knitting game for the winter. Having lived in Dallas for a couple years 80 degree weather in December somehow seemed inappropriate for knitting. Now that I'm back in the New England area I'm enjoying my tea and knitting meditation time. Currently working a cable cowl neck.
I haven't investigated this site too much but what I did find looks
promising. Check it out if you get a chance. It is apparently free as are all
the back issues.
