I'm starting to work on my Christmas knitting again, after three projects pre-empted my other work. While I'm still trying to finish a tweed scarf for my partner's possible emergency trip to Oklahoma, I've managed to double the length of the thistle lace scarf.

It took me 10 months and 2 days - I'm happy with that (although, to be fair, it spent much of that time sitting in the closet. )

Sometimes, I feel Blanche DuBois got it right: You always depend upon the kindness of others.

So today the column heading on MWK decide to not scroll - something I've never noticed before - and they are drivng me bonkers!
Is this new?
And the shout isn't working for me - maybe...I looked at it on another browser and I may have posted the same thing three times - but when I refreshed the page the shouts disappeared - so I don't know.

Two years ago or so, I knit the proverbial boyfriend sweater.

here is a pic of the hat (finally) that I was having so much trouble doing the decreases. It came out just as it should...trust the pattern...

Here is another men knitting YouTube video I think you can all relate to. This video certainly brought back lots of memories when I was beginning to learn to knit. I can remember being as awkward and clueless in the early days; it just doesn't show the many times I threw the bloody knitting mess across the room! I think I could have named this “I laughed.

:)

I started this last summer but put it away as I had other things to do, and of course because it is full of nupps (ugh) it was an easy decision to put it aside lol. It is called "The Greta Garbo Shawl"

This evening I came to the place of knitting the heel flap on the socks I'm knitting. I decided I was too tired to start it so I passed some time looking through Google. I came across this YouTube video about a man knitter in the US. I enjoyed it a lot and wanted to share it with others. I think that Warren is a great representative for us guy knitters. Have a look and enjoy!
