I finished, blocked, and gifted the half-herringbone fagot stitch scarf for my friend Miss A. She is the one who gave me needles and taught me the knit stitch. Laid out, it is right about 7' long. It is a simple yet attractive pattern. The yarn is Encore Colorspun by Plymouth Yarn, worsted weight, on size 10 (bamboo) needles.

I've been on the waiting list on amazon.com for Alice Starmore's newest book to be released. It was late to become available but finally I got my copy this past week. I hold her in high esteem for her beautiful Fair Isle knitting patterns.

I just came across this article. It made me smile. I immediately thought to share it with our community here. Maybe somebody else has posted it but if not I figured that some of the family here would enjoy it and maybe contribute.

Lionbrand yarn donated enough Fisherman's Wool for me to make 50 bears today. They took notice of me, and my little bears. In about 2 weeks they'll be promoting me on their website. My little knit teddy bears are going places....I'm happy to be along for the ride. :)
