It was great to get a whole sweater done again. It's been a while since I've committed to a complete project.

Just thought I'd provide an update on the most recent East Coast Men's Spring Knitting Retreat, and let everyone know about my plans for the West Coast Men's Fall Knitting Retreat...in reverse order.

I'm so slow I could only get one square done for the blanket. I chose the Candle Flame pattern out of A Treasury of Knitting Patterns.

A knitting retreat could be fun to contemplate ... admittedly it is a long way from most but ... it has interest on it's side... Ancient Greece, 18 km beach, wonderful Turkish cuisine... and cheap...

Just took pics of my first handspun yarn project, which is coincidentally my first pair of mittens.

Finished this several days ago. The final size, 48cmx48cm.

Sonic and I mow the lawn together. She loves it. She would be wearing her little sweater i knit her but she ate it the second she had it on.

Just for the hell of it heres all my projects thrown into one basket.
I'm wondering if anyone has used the Noro wool Yarn from Japan. I am interested in trying it. Is it scratchy or is it similar to merino wool?. Thanks for your help.

Hi Guys,
Have any of you tried using a vacuum sealer to store your yarn? Just wondering if this would be a good idea or if it could damage it.
Thanks,
J
