
I've been an on-and-off knitter of bad scarves and the occasional bad hat. But, having been in search of a hobby for years and years, I think I might have settled on knitting.

I have been making the Beer gloves from Son of Stitch n Bitch for the last week....and I hate them. The pattern in the book makes NO SENSE, and has numerous errors and no errata sheet.

This is the first time I have posted to MenWhoKnit.com. I am a self-taught knitter who has spent the last 3 months making 12 pairs of socks as Christmas gifts. I am now tired of making socks!

I haven't seen very many updates posted for the Scarf Exchange, so I thought that I'd post one.

I got the idea for this from Barbara Walker's "A Fourth Treasury of Knitting Patterns" (see page 127). The lace pattern is number 33 on page 117.

Has anyone done a sweater using shaped steeks as described in the book Knitting in the Old Way? I wonder whether the sleeves would hang correctly and if there would be excess fabric under the arms?
