So this is how far I have gotten on the hat. It is driving me crazy, I have been stressed recently, making my stitches way too tight.

What a great experience it has been to make my own socks. I had to modified the original pattern a bit, just because it is a bigger pattern.

I ran across an interesting piece of animation on YouTube today that uses knitted panels to tell its story.

YAY for Secret Pal goodies....

I'm off to Rome for a holiday tomorrow morning. Things have been so manic getting finished at the office that I haven't picked up the sweater I'm working on all week, and won't be taking it with me to Italy. I have, however, done my homework and will be visiting two of Rome's yarn stores and will report back with what I find.

This hat was made with the same left over yarn from the skein that I made the Reverser Cap . I was very pleased to see that it was possible to make two caps with the same yarn.

YARRRR!
Happy IntARRnational talk like a pirate day, mateys!

Hey knitting dudes...

Believe it or not, living in a suburb of LA, none of my LYSs carry Cascade...and I need some NOW! I'm increasingly frustrated with selections available (maybe it's my tastes growing up....?)

I read about all the knitting gatherings around the country but none in the southeast. Is there anyone interested in getting a group together for a meeting ?
