Got my invite for Ravelry and signed up. The name's still Murfpapa. Staring at the screen......where to begin....where to begin. I'm overwhelmed.

hey guys - just wanted to wish each of you a wonderful Thanksgiving (here in the USA) - it's great to have all of you as friends and here's to many many more years of knitting together!
hugs,

"The Reader's Digest Knitter's Handbook - A comprehensive guide to the principles and techniques of handknitting" by Montse Stanley; 1986,2001; softcover; 318 pages.

New Directions in Fair Isle Knitting by Patty Knox, 1985, hardcover, oversize, 119 pages, out of print.

I just had to do one border on this to finish it. It is done in Jamieson and Smith Shetland wool on 3.25 mm needles.
I'm not sure if I smuggled my knitting into the airport, or they actually allowed #6 circular needles. I'm going with smuggled, it sounds more bad-ass.

Sorry if this subject is a dead horse but I'm pretty new to knitting and casting on is such a trouble point for me. I was wondering what is your favorite method of casting on.

Hey all...
I'm working on "Lazychick's Cabled Fingerless Mitts", a pattern I bought at my LYS and I have a question. For the Gusset it says:

I'm working on an art project and wanted to let you guys in on it - read about it on my blog:
